Terms of Use and Community Guidelines

These terms apply when you use the InYourKitchen app, made by KWE ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. Questions: support@kwe.life.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use InYourKitchen. Keep your sign-in details safe; you're responsible for what happens on your account. Members of your household can see and change your household's pantry, shopping list, meal plans and stats.

Food safety: please read

Use-by dates suggested by the app (from receipts, barcodes, Freshness Guard or AI) are estimates. Always follow the date and storage instructions on the pack, and use your own judgement. If in doubt, throw it out. Nutrition figures and supermarket prices are also estimates. Recipes do not replace advice about allergies or medical diets: check every ingredient yourself.

Premium subscription

• Premium costs £6.99 a month or £59.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• On the web, payment is taken by Stripe through RevenueCat Web Billing; you can cancel or update your card any time from the link in your receipt email. In the Android app, payment is taken by Google Play and you cancel in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel; cancel at least a day before the trial or period ends to avoid being charged for the next one.
• If something goes wrong with a payment, email support@kwe.life and we'll put it right. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, email us and we'll refund that payment in full. Purchases made through Google Play also follow Google Play's refund policy. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
• Free accounts include 3 AI receipt scans. We may change features or prices; we'll tell you before a price change affects you.

Community guidelines

You can publish recipes to the community and share photos of meals you've cooked. Everything you share must be your own and suitable for everyone. Do not post:

• anything hateful, harassing, threatening, violent, sexual or graphic;
• anything illegal or dangerous, including unsafe food handling presented as safe, or harmful "challenges";
• spam, adverts, links to sell things, or misleading health claims;
• other people's photos, recipes or text without permission, or personal information about anyone;
• anything unrelated to food and cooking.

By sharing a recipe or photo you confirm you have the right to share it and grant KWE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show it inside the app. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Reporting and moderation

Every community recipe and meal photo has a Report option. When you report something, it's hidden from you straight away and our team is alerted. If several different people report the same item, it's hidden for everyone until we review it. Meal photos are checked by us before anyone else sees them. We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these guidelines. You can also report anything to support@kwe.life.

Fair use

Don't misuse the app: no attempts to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer it, or to get around Premium limits. AI features have fair-use limits to keep the service running for everyone.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep InYourKitchen accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be error-free. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under UK law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect losses, or for food that goes off or is eaten based on an estimate in the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Profile > Delete account, or on the web). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

Changes and law

If we change these terms we'll update the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
